I had many chances to see my mother drunk (and who knows what else) when I was a child. Because of her bahavior during the years when she drank, I swore early on that I just wouldn’t. I would never want my children to see me drunk. I would never want them to lose respect for me, or fear me, as I did with my mother when I was a child.

I don’t drink and, really, I have my mother to thank for that. I guess she did something good for me after all, huh?

I never drink and shame would haunt me the rest of my life if my children seen me drink. No they never will.

i have to say yes, i was going thourgh i very tough time and they saw me, but they also told me that they would never drink because they saw what it did to me. So, really in all actuality, if it makes them never want to drink, then it is a blessing in disguise.

Nope! I’m mildly allergic to alcohol but even if I wasn’t, I HATE what it does to people so I never drink.
